PAUL WHEATER - RECORDINGS
"These songs add up to Paul's own personal salute to the songs and singers of the past and more recent times. Wrapped in his velvety smooth tones he somehow manages to make many of them his own - delightfully so." - Gilbert Gibson -

LATEST COUNTRY GOSPEL ALBUM (WITH SARAH WHEATER)
As well as sharing the vocals on
`Far Side Banks Of Jordan`, Sarah organised all the
vocal backings. These ranged from her own single voice harmonies through to a
`gospel choir` backing using nine voices on `Angel Band`. Two of the
songs, `Redemption` and `Mary Did You Know` have only the simple acoustic
backing of Paul’s 50 year old Gibson guitar.

FORTY GOOD YEARS
5 CDs package includes three deleted vinyl LPs and a 10 inch album recorded
by Paul in his teens as a Valentine’s day present. There are radio clips, and
ancient home recordings, plus a biography showing the part that music has
played in Paul’s life from a very early age.
The release of this set was intended to mark 40 years from Paul’s first ten shillings (50 p) booking. It was also intended to coincide with forty good years of marriage. After losing Jill just after their 40th anniversary the package has been on hold for five years.

`THE VAT MAN TALKING BLUES`

Paul’s first country album for fourteen years!
Since 1998 Paul has recorded several albums of gospel songs and one of jazz standards. With `Mister Lonesome` he has returned to his country music roots with a collection of country songs to touch the heart.
Mister Lonesome – It’s Too Soon To Know – After A While – Some Broken Hearts Never Mend – Bottle Take Effect – I Still Miss Someone – The Talking Walls – In Dreams – If Heartache Is The Fashion – Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain
After a long break from recording secular songs, Paul has been into the studio and produced an album of classic Standards from the last Century. The title track `September Song`, plus songs made famous by Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and other mellow voiced crooners have been given the distinctive Paul Wheater treatment to produce a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
September Song - Stardust - Mona Lisa - Don’t Get Around Much Anymore - Charmaine - Moonlight Becomes You - Marie - It’s Only A Paper Moon - On The Sunny Side Of The Street - Moonlight And Roses - Autumn Leaves - Where The Blue Of The Night ( Meets The Gold Of The Day )
